Division - Under 20 years as on 1st January 2009 (Born in
1989, 1990, 1991)
B
Division - Under 17 years as on 1st January 2009 (Born in
1992, 1993, 1994)
C
Division - Under 14 years as on 1st January 2009 (Born in
1995 or 1996)
Except for the following conditions:
All students in the Junior Colleges and Centralised
Institute below the age of 17 must compete in the ‘A’
Division.
Year 1 to Year 4 students in the Integrated Programme (i.e.
Through-Train Programme) and International Baccalaureate
Programme will compete in their respective age group. Those
in Year 5 (equivalent to JC 1) and Year 6 (equivalent to JC
2) must compete in the ‘A’ Division.
Only students in the ‘C’ Division may opt to represent the
school in the ‘B’ Division, in individual sports and team
games. However, once the option is made, he/she must remain
in that division for the particular sport/game throughout
the SSSC competition calendar for the year.

An
event T-shirt will be given to all registered participant.
PARTICIPATION
Registration for this year competition is
opened to all Secondary Schools and Junior Colleges.
Each school can send a maximum of 3
individual climbers plus 2 supplementary climbers
for
each category/division. A maximum of 1
Team per category / division.
Climbers can compete in both the individual
and team relay.
ATTIRE
An event T-shirt will be issued to each
participant upon reporting on the event day. Participants
are required to wear the T-shirt during their climb.
Only participants for the Team Relay are
allowed to don their school team attire during their climb.
PRIZES
Medals will be awarded to top 3 winners of
all Categories/Divisions. Trophies will be awarded to
‘Fastest Male Speed’, ‘Fastest Female Speed’, Fastest Mixed
Double Speed Team, ‘Fastest Male Speed Team’, Fastest Female
Speed Team’ and ‘Overall School Champion’.
‘Overall School Champion’ title is
calculated based on accumulated points achieved during the
finals result for all Divisions. Points will be given for
the top 3 winners: 1st – 10 pts, 2nd – 7 pts and 3rd – 5
pts. Points will be total up and the school who received the
most points will be awarded the title.

APPEAL
All appeals have to be made in writing by
Teacher-in-charge/Team Manager/Team Coach within 20 minutes
/ Finals – 10 minutes after the results and will be handled
by an appeal panel. A charge of $50 (cash) will be levied
for each appeal. The money will be refunded to the
participant if his/her appeal is successful.

IMPORTANT BRIEFING
Competition Briefing for
Teacher-In-Charge & Coaches
Date : 28th May 2009
Venue : SAFRA Yishun Country Club, SAFRA
Adventure Sports Centre
Time : 6.30pm to 8.30pm (2 hours)
This will be an update session for
experienced teachers/coaches. NSSCC Chief Judge will go
through the differences from last years’ rules only and some
key issues to take note of. No handouts will be given. (Registration is required. Please
email: admin2@smf.org.sg)
Technical Briefing for Teacher-In-Charge &
Coaches
Date : 9th Jul 2009
Venue : SAFRA Yishun Country Club, SAFRA
Adventure Sports Centre
Time : 6.30pm to 8.30pm (2 hours)
This briefing will be necessary for all
teachers-in-charge and Coaches to attend. The session will
provide updates includes any changes to the competition
schedules, etc.
Announcement on the “supplementary list” and
payment shall be collected on that day too. Please bring
cash if you have earlier submitted for supplementary
climbers.
Participants T-shirt and Number Tag will
be issued.
NOTE
All participants are advised to ensure that
they have sought and obtained a medical clearance prior to
their participation in this competition.
The organising committee reserves the rights to amend any part
of the rules and regulation without prior notice. Judges
decisions will be final. |
